Who operates this service

TypeScience, trading as Real Estate Answering Co, operates this website and the AI receptionist service. We provide call answering for real estate agents and teams, with website chat and consent-based lead follow-up available as add-ons. This policy explains the information involved in visiting our website, opening an account, trying the demo, and using the service.

You can send privacy questions and requests to privacy@realestateansweringco.com. For account setup or other service help, contact support@realestateansweringco.com. We sell the service online and do not offer a phone sales line.

Customers, visitors, and callers

Customers and website visitors interact with us directly when they browse the site, try the demo, or create an account. If you sign up, we use account and onboarding information to provide the receptionist for your business. That includes the instructions you give us about the calls you want it to handle.

For callers' information, the customer business decides what is collected and why. We process that information on the customer's behalf, and data processing terms form part of our terms of service. If you called an agent using our service, you can ask that business or contact us about your information.

Account and billing information

We collect account details including your name, business name, email address, and phone number. These details identify the business using the service and support account operation. Signing up starts with an email sign-in link and an onboarding conversation with the AI.

Billing is handled by our payment processor, and we do not store full card numbers. A card is required before call forwarding goes live. Payment processing is one of the service provider categories involved in running your account; call records and onboarding information are separate categories of information described below.

Business instructions and website content

We collect your onboarding answers and content from the website you point us to. These materials help your receptionist learn your services, service area, opening hours, price policy, and instructions for urgent calls. They also tell it which services you do not offer and who should receive an urgent inquiry.

You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you tell the AI. You can change receptionist settings by giving instructions in plain words. The information you provide shapes how the receptionist answers as your business and which details it requests from people who call.

Calls, messages, and conversation records

We collect call audio, recordings, transcripts, summaries, and caller numbers when the service handles calls. Those records support the answering service and let the customer review what a caller requested. A property inquiry may include details the caller gives about a showing request, a sale, or a preferred callback.

Calls, website and demo chats, recordings, transcripts and summaries of trial and customer accounts may be reviewed by authorized staff for quality, support and abuse prevention. Access is limited to those purposes.

Your receptionist announces that it is a virtual assistant and that the call is recorded at the start of each call. Those notices cannot be switched off. Customers receive email and app push alerts containing a summary, urgency tag, transcript, and recording, along with a daily digest email. Call records are also available through the service dashboard.

Demo conversations and website analytics

We record and transcribe demo calls and chats on this site to show the result of the conversation. You can try the browser demo without signing up for an account. Use a fictional property inquiry when exploring how the receptionist responds; the demo scenarios describe a fictional business.

Our website uses privacy-friendly analytics and Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies. Analytics information is part of the website information we collect, alongside information you provide directly through an account or demo conversation. The browser demo is available if you want to hear the assistant after reviewing these practices.

How information supports the service

We use business instructions to guide call handling, conversation information to produce call records, and account information to operate your subscription. Depending on the features you choose, your receptionist can take messages, arrange appointments in Google Calendar, or collect details for your callback. Urgent call instructions determine who receives an urgent transfer or page.

The website chat add-on uses the same business knowledge and rules. Lead follow-up calls are limited to people who submitted your web form and selected a consent box naming your business; customers are responsible for keeping consent records. We do not offer cold calling, list dialing, or purchased-lead calling.

Service providers and AI processing

We use providers for hosting and storage, telephone service, AI models for voice and text, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. These categories support different parts of the service, from handling a call to delivering its summary or processing subscription billing. AI voice and text processing is part of providing the receptionist.

Our AI model provider, OpenAI, does not use our API data to train its models by default. This describes the training default, while voice and text data still undergo processing to provide the service. We never sell personal information and never use callers' data for our own marketing.

How long we retain call records

Recordings are kept for the period the customer business chooses: 30 or 90 days. They are deleted after that period. This choice concerns recordings; transcripts and summaries follow the separate account-based retention schedule below.

Transcripts and summaries are kept while the account is open and deleted within 30 days after it closes or on request. If you are a caller asking about a conversation, you may contact the business you called or email us. If you are a customer requesting deletion, use privacy@realestateansweringco.com so your request reaches the privacy contact.

Access, correction, deletion, and opt-out requests

You can request access, correction, deletion, or an opt-out by emailing privacy@realestateansweringco.com. California residents can use that contact for their privacy rights where those rights apply. Callers can direct a request to the customer business or to us because we process caller information on that business's behalf.

When writing, explain whether your request concerns a customer account, a website or demo interaction, or a call to a business. For a call-related request, naming the business gives context about the record you are asking about. General account help is available separately at support@realestateansweringco.com.

Children and policy updates

The service is not for children under 13. It is designed for businesses handling inquiries and for people contacting those businesses.

Policy changes are dated on this page. Check the last-updated date to see when this policy was revised, and contact privacy@realestateansweringco.com with questions about the practices described here. The service terms explain the subscription and the customer's responsibilities, including business instructions and consent records.
